It will be the first day of the year and we have a delicacy waiting to be served as the Bengaluru Bulls take on Telegu Titans. Expect a lip smacking contest as Hi Flyer Pawan Sehrawat will be up against Bahubali Siddharth Desai.

After losing the first game to U Mumba, Bengaluru have not looked back. Three wins on the trot and jumping into second place after four matches, the Bulls are ready to fight for the top spot. The Titans on the other hand are yet to taste victory and are placed 11th in the points table.

It is surprising and disheartening that a team like Telugu Titans has yet to taste victory in season 8 after 3 matches. They had to settle for a tie in their first match, lost to Puneri Paltan by a solitary point and then the Steelers beat them by 2 points. They are missing the killer punch, the X factor. Bahubali Siddharth Desai is his best bet, but he has become a bit predictable and the opposition has been able to get a measure of him. Plus he seems to be playing with a niggle.

With over 560 PKL raid points, the Titans are heavily dependent on him for a better harvest. Hence Siddharth will have to come up with alternative escape routes.

It will be an anti thesis of sorts, Bulls defence seems to be ready for Siddharth Desai while the Titans will hope that Hi Flyer Pawan has an off day. Titans can hope for a miracle if Bahubali Sidharth Desai plays one of his best matches.

Rakesh Gowda and Ankit Beniwal will have to make each raid count if the Titans wish to inflict all-outs. Titans have executed 4 Super raids and that keeps the afloat. Both teams have a similar average tackle success rate of around 38 %, hence the team with more errors in the defence will give the opposition a new years gift.
