Patna Pirates have had a really tough season so far, where they only won two and lost seven of their nine matches played. In their last match, the Pirates lost to the Telugu Titans 37-28, yet another poor performance on the defensive end for the Pirates which cost them the game.

The Pirates have one of the best raiding trios in Ayan Lohchab (104 raid points), M. Sudhakar (27 raid points), and Maninder Singh (40 raid points). On average, they have scored 23 raid points per game this season, the second most by a team. But they lack consistency; when Ayan scores, the other two fail, which is a huge concern for them heading into the second half of the tournament.

On the defensive end, this hasn't been the best of seasons for the Patna Pirates, where they have struggled to get going and only managed to get in 8 tackle points per game, the least by any team this season. Ankit Jaglan has been the lone bright spot with 25 tackle points in 9 matches.
