No Time To Rest In The County Championship Division One

With four rounds to go, there are still plenty of issue to be resolved in the County Championship Division One!
And with some games finishing only last Friday, there is very little time for rest for any side and momentum, both winning and losing, can go a long way to setting the tone in the dressing room ahead of any match.
The Battle At The Top
Can anyone stop Surrey? That has been the question asked by journalists and cricket followers plenty of times over the last four years but at the moment it looks as though the county with the 'strut' is on track to make it four wins in a row!
Nottinghamshire will have something to say about that though, and they come into this round only one point behind Surrey.
Somerset and Warwickshire, in third and fourth place respectively, will also not have completely ruled out their chances after enjoying victories in round ten.
The Battle To Avoid The Drop
Worcestershire have won one of their ten games so far this season and somehow managed to turn a nearly impenetrable position against Warwickshire into one where they lost by five wickets.
Unsurprisingly, Worcestershire sit at the bottom of the pack, 26 points behind Yorkshire in ninth and division two cricket next year is starting to look like an inevitability.
But who will join them?
Yorkshire are unbeaten from their last three games (W1, D2) and are closing the gap on Durham in eighth who have not won any of their last four (D2, L2). Essex enjoyed a valuable win over Sussex and are one point ahead of Durham with Hampshire sitting a further five points ahead in sixth.

- Nottinghamshire and Somerset are both 1.90 to win at Trent Bridge
- Hampshire are 1.62 to inflict more misery on Worcestershire
- Yorkshire and Sussex can not be separated - both at 1.90 to win in Scarborough.
