Northern Superchargers finished in 4th place in the points table last season, where they lost the playoff spot to the Southern Brave on net run rate.
The Superchargers had several bowlers contribute to their success last year. Matthew Potts was the team’s top wicket-taker last year with 8 wickets for England international. He received great support from the spin duo of Mitchell Santner and Adil Rashid, who both took 7 wickets each.
All three players are back once again for the side. They will be joined by the likes of Brydon Carse, Ben Dwarshuis and Mohammad Amir, who all will bring their individual brilliance to the line-up.
Welsh Fire, on the other hand, would be looking to improve on their last season’s 6th place finish. Haris Rauf was the top wicket-taker with 11 wickets, while New Zealand pacer Matt Henry and David Willey contributed with 8 wickets each.
However, none of the three above-mentioned names would feature for the Welsh Fire this season. They have the likes of David Payne, Riley Meredith, Josh Hull, Mason Crane, Paul Walter and Chris Green as their bowling options.
